The social club for the over 55 and young at heart!
‘Club Gold' at Brothers is all about looking after our senior members. If you are 55 years or older then you should be a member of ‘Club Gold'. Not only are there a host of fantastic events and excursions on offer, but some great discounts, incentives and the chance to make some new friends.
CLUB GOLD is the only free social club of its kind in the region, with over 4500 members and a 200+ following to the Tuesday Seniors Mornings. The club provides affordable entertainment, free outings, market days, trivia mornings, excursions and trips at greatly discounted prices, and a safe place for our most senior members to meet friends and cool off from the oppressive tropical humidity.
The weekly Seniors Mornings entertain with free live music, dancing, tea & coffee, raffles and luck door prizes. The selection of entertainers provided is what Brothers credits the success of the Seniors Mornings to. A lot of seniors find some of today's popular music too loud, too young and just not like it used to be! The members then, absolutely delight in being spoiled with entertainers that dedicate two hours to playing all the hits and memories of the good old days. Guest speakers also feature often in the mornings, to stress relevant issues such as medical checks, security and holidays.
Catering to the lifestyles of our older citizens is of a priority to Brothers, and in addition to the Seniors Mornings, the staff set up regular market Days which have become a calendar highlight. Stalls of homemade handi-crafts, cakes and plants and more for sale, line the walls of the club which creates a vibrant atmosphere for the other club members. There are also regular excursions and day trips planned which are hosted by Brothers Staff, and seats are quickly sold out each time a new trip is announced.
In addition to all of this the CLUB GOLD has two special parties during the year in the Auditorium; a mid-year celebration in the auditorium with special entertainers and a Christmas Party, with over 300 seniors attending each event.
We are proud to play an important role in enriching the lives of our community's older citizens.
